The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is the recipient of a $3,755.00 and 60 square feet of Optium Museum Acrylic Tru-Vue Optium grant through the Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works to conserve the museum’s remarkable collection of paintings. The grant supports essential conservation work on three paintings to resolve threats ranging from accumulated dust and debris to paint loss and instability, discoloration, and abrasions. Conservation work began in January 2012 and will take place over the next several months in collaboration with conservators at C’mon. Plans are currently under way for future exhibitions following completion of the conservation project in March 2012.
