Sunny Isles Beach, Fl. Labor Day Weekend 2020 is progressing quietly in the Sunny Isles Beach area.
At the beach this morning, only a few early walkers were enjoying the view and pleasant weather. Just the presence of new famous faces meeting their recently acquired properties at Armani-Casa and The Ritz Carlton was the only news in town.
Even the boat ramps look barely active, compared to other years. Perhaps a symptom of the COVID 19 crisis and a silent ongoing recession, generating lack of funds to keep boats in the water for many.
"We use to have long lines of vehicles towing boats on Collins waiting for a turn at the ramp in Labor Day. This morning, streets are almost empty." commented one of the neighbors at the Dog Park at the beach in 158th st.

Curfew not affecting daily life.

A Countywide curfew for Miami Dade remains in place from 10 PM to 6 AM, not affecting daily life at all. Supermarkets very well stocked for the weekend. No large events or public meetings. And in fact, not even "party" noises were detected in the Saturday evening.
The area seems to slowly adapt to this "stay at home" rhythm, in order to prevent COVID 19 spreading.

Sunny Isles Beach, Fl. A group of 80 top Miami real estate agents vowed to apply a “well showing” new standard for all listings.

“I was following in Singapore by January how they were dealing with Coronavirus, so we started to apply here some wellness measures that we called “Well Showing concept”, since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis” said Fernando Pettineroli, a Sunny Isles Beach listing agent with Dezer Platinum Realty.

The “Well Showing” new protocol is based on three step showings: First, listing agents provide unbranded “virtual-showings”. With 3D tours, videos or “lives” are assisting buyers to narrow the most suitable properties without risk. Also “Well showing” also establishes a “COVID 19 good faith statement” signed by all parties. The new standard is completed with the mandatory use of protective equipment for all people accessing the properties.

The idea was immediately welcomed by the exclusive group of top agents from
multiple offices, created in Whatsapp by Pettineroli.

Jackie Cabral, luxury agent with Coldwell Banker said "Nice, i agree with that i think it can be weird if prospects touch other people’s things, like try to open drawers or cabinets."

Maria Plasencia, Sales Director with Fortune International Realty said "...I
also think it is good practice to have handy disposable masks and hand sanitizers or gloves for those who may forget and show up without it. We need to stay safe above all."

“It protects buyers, sellers, ourselves and also generates a new seed of trust from the general public on real estate agents” explained Fernando.

“I believe these new preventive simple measures will be the new standard for the industry” concluded Pettineroli.
